For many decades, data collection has been happening in English, western languages and mainstream Indian languages. This is partly the reason that digital development has furthered in these languages.
In order to ensure that all Indian languages get their due presence in our increasingly digital India, IISc and ARTPARK aim to collect data from all districts to build a truly inclusive digital India.
Project Vaani is an initiative by IISc and ARTPARK, Bangalore, funded by Google.
Imagine a software talking in your language but it is wrongly pronouncing a work. Or the sentence is not correct. Will it not be irritating?
AI is progressing and will soon be a part of a large part of applications on your phone. We want to ensure that those applications can understand and speak our language properly!
When we source data from the ground, often it needs to be cleaned as it has various types of issues. We invite everyone to join us in this journey. Come join us and contribute to the growth of our languages & help in ensuring that poor data is not used for software building in your language.
What you will need to do?
Listen to audio files or look at text transcripts native to your region, and help us by giving feedback. We will ask specific questions to you and you would be giving feedback to reject audios which are not from your region, language is not correct or may be some other reason.
We are looking to engage with local language speakers who can read, understand & write in the local language.
Minimum 10th -12th pass candidates.
Laptop or phone is required to work on google sheets.

Access to internet and a device (smartphone or laptop)
TIME:
You may need to set aside 2-3 hours on days when the files are assigned to you for QC by our team.You’ll be responsible for one mission: Unleash the market potential of our robotics products
