Call for Innovation/Research Proposals 2024-25
Context
GoK has established a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Wired and Wireless Technologies at ARTPARK-IISc (AI and Robotics Technologies Park), to promote innovations and research in the broad areas of next-generation wireless, wired technologies and their applications and use cases.
The CoE also anchors one of the 100 5G Use Case labs of DOT. It has a 5G SA facility which will be available for the innovators, researchers and the broader community to use to test out their innovation/research ideas.
Scope
We solicit innovation and/or research proposals that seek to create and demonstrate new technologies or concepts in the broad areas related to communication technologies like (but not limited to): 5G Advanced/6G features, Hybrid WiFi-5G, Optical components, Algorithms for Scheduling and Management, AI-ML for Operations and Analysis, etc. We encourage collaborative proposals inclusive of startups/individual innovators.
Funding (Indicative)
Student Fellowship Topup: Up to 50k pm
Junior Engineer: 40k-1L pm
Senior Engineer: 1.5L-2.5L pm
Consumables: Up to 10L/year

The proposal can have the following sections:
Project Title
Team (names, affiliations, contact info – individuals without affiliation are accepted)
1-page Project Summary
Project Description that bring out the uniqueness of the proposal
State of the Art
Related Work by proposers – 1 page
Work Packages, their details including the lead team member. Please include quarterly timelines (for period up to March 31, 2025)
List of key deliverables by March 31, 2025.
Budget (Approx. breakup as Manpower, Consumables, Overhead) for period up to March 31, 2025.

IP Terms and Agreements:
Joint IP ownership with Academic institutions and Startups (separate MoUs between Artpark and each institution). For individuals without any organizational affiliation - they will be affiliated with Artpark as Innovators and Exclusive IP ownership by Artpark.
