Program Head, COE in Wireless and Wired Technologies
ARTPARK, is a section-8 company created by IISc, and is setting up a Center of Excellence in Wired and Wireless Technologies to specifically foster innovations in 5G enabled systems and use cases, with seed funding support from Govt of Karnataka. The CoE is mandated to set up a 5G testbed, identify & support innovation projects and develop & deliver skilling modules.
Roles:
1. Overall lead of the program to ensure deliverables are met
2. Interface with GoK regarding the COE
3. Interface with external stakeholders like DOT, Industries, Startups and industry associations, to evangelize and align the COE activities with the broad needs and trends of the govt and industry.
4. Explore additional funding sources to augment and scale up the activities.
5. Technical participation in one or more innovation projects
6. Work with ARTPARK leadership team closely to ensure the overall synergy of the COE with Artpark’s mission
Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of COE’s targets
2. Overall management of the research-engineering team
Qualifications:
1. Advanced Engineering Degree (Masters or PhD preferred)
2. 15+ Industry Experience developing technologies
3. 5+ Research/Innovation Experience (Inclusive of academic research)
4. Experience Hiring/Mentoring/Managing a technology R&D/innovation team and budgets
5. Experience in a startup is a bonus
