However, gains from this major revolution in AI might be unequally distributed to a chosen few - if the current path of AI technology evolution continues. The developing world, where more than 6 billion of the global population lives, might miss the impact of this major revolution. ARTPARK (AI & Robotics Technology Park) is committed to leveraging AI & Robotics in a mission-driven model to bring a better quality of life & access to resources for these billions. Through open collaboration and inclusive development, we believe we can make a huge difference to our collective trajectory. Our vision is to create a better world with inclusive and equitable access to AI & Robotics via Open Tools, Databanks, Standards, IP, Technologies, and path-breaking companies.
We believe in moving forward the key technology milestones in AI & Robotics in a "Mission Mode" model. We look for the intersection of societal scale impact, economic sustainability and technology challenges in choosing our problems.
Avtaar robotics allows emotive robotic nurses such as "Asha" to transport healthcare professionals' skills across the globe. Connecting avatar robots to remote human workflows with 5G & Wifi 6 can create jobs in the developing world.
Bhasha Setu will allow privacy-preserving collection, sharing and analytics of language data to drive AI/ML research for usage of Indic languages (including Kannada) in natural human interactions in AI, robotics, autonomous systems and their various applications in healthcare, retail, governance, education, mobility, agriculture, smart cities and others.
Drone Skyways, roads in the skies for autonomous drones, just like we have roads on the ground.We are building the open standards for such drone-skyways.
ARTPARK is an autonomous section-8, not-for-profit company, a joint initiative of IISc and AIfoundry, seed-funded by DST (Department of Science and Technology ) and GoK (Government of Karnataka). It is currently incubated at the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems at IISc.
Indian Institute of Science
Founded in 1909, IISc is the oldest research university in India. QS World University rankings ranked IISc second in the world in terms of citations per faculty. With more 2000+ PhD students, it has one of the largest AI & Robotics research clusters in India.
AI foundry is a venture studio building "idea to impact" AI innovation ecosystem for creating leapfrog companies for next 6bn people, out of India. ARTPARK is initiated and supported by AI foundry in a Public-private partnership with IISc.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) is a department within the Ministry of Science and Technology in India. It plays the role of a nodal department for organizing, coordinating and promoting Scientific and Technological activities in the country.
Government of Karnataka
Govt. of Karnataka is supporting ARTPARK with a seed grant as part of its initiative to grow a leading AI & Robotics cluster in Karnataka with a vision of Karnataka being the first "Data Swarna state".
