Robotics Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Type: Full-time

About the Role

This isn’t just another job opening. This is an invitation to join the core team of a robotics startup where ideas quickly turn into machines rolling in the real world. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just write code, but writes the future of autonomy.
If you’ve spent years in ROS2, built navigation stacks, read research papers only to immediately try them out in code, and believe robotics is more than a paycheck—it’s your craft—then this is where you belong.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect Autonomy: Design and implement advanced navigation algorithms—SLAM, Nav2, AMCL, path planning, localization—for robust mobile robots.

  2. Push Research into Reality: Experiment with cutting-edge approaches in autonomous navigation and computer vision, turning concepts into working prototypes.

  3. Full-Stack Robotics: Build robust ROS2 nodes, integrate LiDARs, depth cameras, and controllers, and ensure real-time performance on platforms like Nvidia Jetson, Raspberry Pi, Teensy, Arduino.

  4. Collaborate & Create: Work hand-in-hand with mechanical and electronics engineers, ensuring software and hardware come alive as one.

  5. Relentless Debugging: Track down complex system issues across hardware and software layers until things just work

  6. Continuous Growth: Stay sharp with the latest in robotics research and open-source contributions—and bring new ideas back to the lab.

Required Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in robotics software engineering.

  2. Deep expertise in ROS2 and its ecosystem.

  3. Strong in C++ and Python, with clean, efficient coding practices.

  4. Hands-on experience with mobile robot navigation (Nav2, SLAM, localisation, path planning).

  5. Comfort with embedded systems and debugging at the microcontroller/microprocessor level.

  6. A maker’s mindset: not just reading papers, but implementing, testing, and iterating on them.

  7. Someone who thrives in a startup environment: open-minded, collaborative, and motivated by curiosity more than titles.
