Associate Engineer-Power Electronics

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Engineer-Power Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power converter design, motor control, gate drivers, analog/digital electronics, and filter design. You will contribute to the development of reliable, efficient, and high-performance power electronics systems for a wide range of applications.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop power converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC) and motor drive systems.
Implement motor control algorithms such as BLDC, PMSM, and Field-Oriented Control (FOC).
Design and optimise gate driver circuits for various power switching devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC, GaN).
Develop passive and active filter circuits (EMI filters, LC, π-filters) for noise suppression and signal integrity.
Design and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits for sensing, control, and interfacing.
Use simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and LTspice for system modelling and validation.
Create schematic designs and multilayer PCB layouts using Altium Designer, KiCAD, or Eagle.
Perform thermal, EMI/EMC, and compliance testing.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including embedded software, mechanical, and systems engineering.
Document designs, test results, and support certification processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of power electronics theory, converter topologies, and control methods.
Proficient in analog and digital circuit design and debugging.
Experience with gate driver circuits and motor control systems.
Skilled in filter design for power and signal conditioning applications.
Hands-on experience with simulation tools and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc.).
